Reporter says
Kathy Groob (above) used her story without permission and put her own byline on it, as well.

A Huffington Post reporter says political gadfly Kathy Groob used her story without permission and says Groob added her own byline to it, reports Page One Kentucky.

"I noticed that Groob had posted my article without my byline, and I never gave anyone permission to run it anywhere," says Laura Bassett, a reporter for The Huffington Post. [ Link ]

Groob's byline is on the article, posted at Feministing. The first several paragraphs are posted there, followed by a link that takes any readers to her own website called Elect Women where the story continues rather than to The Huffington Post.

"She merely posted it on Feministing as her own and on her own website without a proper byline and without permission," wrote Page One Kentucky.

Groob says The Huffington Post was given credit at the linked-to page at Elect Women. The HuffPo reporter says it wasn't.

Page One Kentucky, no fan of Groob because of her chronic political shenanigans in the state and for her reputation as a shameless self-promoter, says she was "forced to change things around when the original author called her out."
